The Hard Drive 911 Process - Start to Finish Stop using the drive & contact Hard Drive 911
The Phone Consultation During your initial phone consultation, we work with you to determine the type of failure. Logical vs. physical; does the drive spin? Is it recognized by the BIOS? Does it make any abnormal mechanical noises (clicking, grinding, etc)? We will also discuss pricing and your timeframe. How soon do you need the data recovered? If you needed it yesterday, we will expedite getting the drive to us and the data recovered. If you need the data, but time is not critical, you may be able to save money. Ship the drive to Hard Drive 911 The Recovery We begin inspecting all drives with 30 minutes of arrival and contact you to let you know work has begun. Most inspections take anywhere from two to 12 hours to complete. Drives with catastrophic damage may take longer. We contact you to discuss recoverability, cost, & turn around time. When you approve the recovery, we proceed with data extraction. The Data When the recovery is completed, we ship the data, you can pick it up, or download it.
